An Irresistible Duet for Romania’s National Day

The Romanian Cultural Institute in London and the Embassy of Romania in London are honored to invite the London audience to a gala recital on December 7th, 7:00 PM, at their headquarters in Belgrave Square, dedicated to Romania’s National Day. The evening will feature two outstanding international opera figures.

Soprano Teodora Gheorghiu, considered “undoubtedly one of the greatest sopranos of her generation” (Fanfare), will share the stage with the renowned bass-baritone of international prestige, Sorin Coliban, accompanied by the Romanian-British pianist Cristian Sandrin. It promises to be an unforgettable evening of opera and classical music that should not be missed!

The program for the evening will include famous duets by Mozart and Lehár, beloved arias by Verdi, Rossini, and Pietro Mascagni, as well as compositions by Aurel Eliade and George Enescu.

This event is part of the “Enescu Concert Series” and has been made possible with the support of the Enescu Society in the UK since 2007. It’s a unique opportunity to celebrate Romania’s National Day with quality music and elegance.
